Put A Screen Saver On Windows XP

The screen saver was invented not for the purpose of beautifying the computer but to save the monitor's screen. If the computer was left on and idle, there is a tendency that the screen of the monitor will get burned from any static images that is appearing in the screen, and these burns will leave tiny spots that will become permanent. Because of this, the screen saver was invented so that even if you leave the computer on and idle, the screen saver will kick in so that there is something moving in the screen that will prevent the screeb from being burnt. That is the very purpose of the screen saver. Don't you wonder why it is called "Screen Saver"? That is simply to save the screen of the monitor. But now, the screen saver purpose is not only to save the screen of the monitor but to also beautify the computer.

Here are the steps to put a screen saver on Windows XP.

1. Right-click on any empty area on the desktop view and choose PROPERTIES.


2. Click the SCREEN SAVER tab.


3. Click the "Screen saver" pull down menu and choose among the listed screen saver. In this example, we will choose the Beziers.


4. Click OK button on the Display Properties window.
